Leaf Protection

There are an overwhelming ammount of different Gutter Guard Products out there.  As a home owner, it is almost impossible to know whitch ones work, and which ones don't.  We have installed many different Leaf Guards over the years.  This has helped us determine which Leaf Guards actually work, and stand the test of time.  We do not install any "Helmet" style covers (like Beyer's Leaf Guard, or Gutter Helmet), because they do not work, look terrible, and cost a fortune.  Don't hesitate to call or email us if you would like to chat about which Leaf Guard might work the best for your home.

There are a couple things to consider when you are choosing the right Gutter Guard:

1) What kind of debris do you have falling onto your roof (oak leafs, pine needles, redwood needles/pods,ect.)?  Different Gutter Guards work better for different types of debris.

2) What type of roof do you have (composition shingle, tile, metal, torchdown/tar & gravel, ect.)?  Some Gutter Guards will only work with certain types of roofs.

EZ Lock Leaf Screen (small hole):

The EZ Lock, powder coated steel, Leaf Screen is our least expensive, yet very effective, Leaf Protection Product.  Simular to our Gutter material, the screen is galvanized steel, with a baked on enamel.  This guard slides under the roofing material, and is screwed to the front top lip of the Gutter.  EZ Lock works well with composition shingle roofs, but will aslo work with some tile, and metal roofs.  The holes in this Leaf Guard are very small (1/4 inch), so they keep almost everything out of the Gutter.  Anything small enough to get through, will be able to wash down the Downspouts without issue.  When it does come time to do some maintenence (every 3-5 years depending on the ammount of foilage), one can simply hose through the top, and wash any of the small debris down the Downspouts.

Rain Drop Gutter Guard:

The Rain Drop Gutter Guard is our most popular Leaf Guard. This Guard is self cleaning, works great for leafy trees, and looks good on the Gutter.  With the smooth, raised, grate like pattern, the leaves that blow down the roof, slip right off.  Rain Drop is made out of High Tech UV Stabilized Polypropylene, so they hold up good in the Sun.  This guard slides under the roofing material, and is screwed to the front top lip of the Gutter.  Rain Drop works well with composition shingle roofs, but will aslo work with some tile, Tar & Gravel, and metal roofs.  Some flat, and metal roofs will require modification of the Leaf Guard, and the installation of a "J" Flashing.
